This Privacy Policy explains what information PCM By Kolhe ("the App"), operated by Nexos Technologies ("we", "us", "our"), collects from you, why we collect it, and how it is used, shared, retained and protected.
1. Information we collect
- Phone number — used to sign you in via one-time password (OTP), through Firebase Authentication.
- Name and profile details — collected when you set up your profile.
- Class and subject preferences — which classes, subjects and medium (Hindi/English) you study, so we can show you the right content.
- Watch and progress data — which lectures you've watched and how far, so your progress is saved across sessions.
- Payment metadata — subscription plan, payment status and transaction reference. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we do not collect or store your card, UPI or bank account details.
- Device and app-activity data — basic device identifiers and crash/analytics data, if such tools are enabled, to help us fix bugs and understand app performance.
2. Why we collect it
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure (phone number, OTP).
- To give you access to the subjects and chapters you've subscribed to.
- To personalise which content you see, based on your class, subject and medium.
- To save your watch progress so you can resume where you left off.
- To process and verify subscription payments and renewals.
- To respond to support requests and improve the App.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the following service providers, only as needed for them to perform their function:
- Firebase (Google) — authentication (OTP login) and, if enabled, crash reporting and analytics.
- Razorpay — payment processing for subscriptions. Razorpay is PCI-DSS compliant; we do not receive or store your full card or bank details.
- Bunny.net — our video content-delivery network, used to stream lecture videos. Bunny.net serves video content and does not require your personal profile data to do so.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Nexos Technologies, our users, or the public.
4. How long we keep it
We retain account and profile data for as long as your account is active. Payment records may be retained for a longer period as required for accounting, tax and legal compliance, even after account deletion, but are not used for any other purpose. 5. Users under 18
Most users of the App are between 15 and 18 years old, studying for Class 11 or 12 board exams. We do not knowingly collect more information from a user under 18 than is necessary to provide the App's core service (authentication, subject access, progress tracking, and subscription management). Where a school or parent has set up or manages a student's subscription, that parent or guardian is responsible for reviewing this policy on the student's behalf. If you believe a minor has provided us information beyond what's described here, please contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate.
6. Your choices and rights
- You can review and update your profile information from within the App.
- You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us.
- You can request correction of inaccurate data.
- You can request deletion of your account and data — see our Data Deletion Policy.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures, including encrypted data transmission, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your data appropriately for its sensitivity.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above, and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice.
